George Clooney: Oscar Favorite

His new film “Up in the Air” has been named Best Picture by the National Board of Review and George Clooney could be smelling an Oscar.

In addition, the “Ocean’s Eleven” stud has tied Morgan Freeman for the Best Actor honor.  Freeman plays Nelson Mandela in “Invictus.”

Shia LaBeouf’s lady friend Carey Mulligan has been named Best Actress for her role in “An Education,” while Woody Harrelson and Anna Kendrick top the Supporting Actor/Actress categories respectively.

As for the Best Ensemble nod, the cast of “It’s Complicated,” including Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin nabbed the nod.  The Oscars will hit ABC on March 7th.
